Komatsu PC-7000 Assembly: Komatsu engaged MAX Crane & Equipment Hire to assemble a Komatsu PC-7000 Hydraulic Mining Shovel at the Alinta Leigh Creek coal field in the SA Outback. A Liebherr LTM1250-6.1 250t all terrain crane and Grove GMK5180 180t all terrain crane were utilised for the assembly. Over 20 complex / heavy lifts were completed over 7 days on site by the experienced crane crew.

Ausdecom Whyalla Dryer Lift:  Australian Decommissioning Services engaged MAX Crane & Equipment Hire’s Terex AC-500-2 500t capacity all terrain crane with 180t of counterweight, 47.2 metre main boom with sideways superlift to lift out a redundant 108t dryer at the Arrium / OneSteel Pellet Plant in Whyalla.

Hallett Hill Wind Farm Rotor Lift:  Max Crane & Equipment Hire’s expert team completed a rotor lift at Hallett Hill Wind Farm. The 42 tonne Suzlon wind turbine rotor was lifted using our 500 tonne crane with 160 tonne counter weight and 48m luffing fly with sideways super lift. The 130 tonne crane was used to tail the rotor down.

Rotor Lift North Brown Hill Wind Farm: Suzlon Energy Australia engaged MAX Crane & Equipment Hire to remove and replace an S88 wind turbine generator rotor for repairs. The Terex AC-500-2 500t all terrain crane with 160t of counterweight, 48 metre luffing fly jib & sideways super lift were used to lift the 42t rotor at a height of 80 metres.  A Tadano ATF130G-5 130t all terrain crane was used to tail the rotor.

Gearbox Lift LTM1400 Cathedral Rocks: Vestas Australia engaged MAX Crane & Equipment Hire’s Liebherr LTM1400-7.1 400t all terrain crane with 30 tonnes of counterweight, a 21 metr fixed fly and Y guying system to change over a  18.5t gearbox on a wind turbine at the Cathedral Rocks Wind Farm near Port Lincoln SA.
