Wind Turbine Blade Replacement

This week the MAX Heavy Lift Team completed a project safely and effectively for a valued customer in SA’s mid north.

The job involved using our 400t Liebherr LTM 1400-7.1 to remove a redundant turbine blade from a wind farm site and replace it with a new one. MAX engaged a reputable sub contractor to transport the blade on our behalf for our customer and we also supplied cranes and skilled personal for the loading and unloading process.

MAX Heavy Lift Team manager, Michael Kuhn was onsite at the wind farm where the early morning temperature was below 0°c – a chilly start to the day!
