Reheat Furnace Replacement at Liberty Onesteel

The works included demolition of existing pipework, steel work, furnace roof and wall sections and discharge door and replacement with new.

The shutdown of the plant took place over a 50-day period using our 500T, 400T and the 130T cranes.

Front end scoping with Downer Engineering occurred before appointment to determine the best way to complete the lifts using the most efficient and safest equipment.

MAX was involved in scheduling and programme development throughout the project to manage and mitigate scope and schedule creep.
