Junior Trainee Administration Assistant – (Whyalla)

We are looking for a highly motivated Individual to join our Administration Team in the Whyalla Depot, working alongside and learning all aspects of our Administration and Operations Department. This role offers a pathway by commencing with a Certificate III in Business. This is a great opportunity to learn from highly experienced long-term staff working for a locally owned and operated business.

The Position:

  • Assisting our Administration and Operations Team
  • General administration duties such as managing stationery supplies, filing, Data Entry and other ad-hoc duties
  • Answering phones and providing exceptional customer service to walk-in customers
  • Data entry and updating of database

The successful applicant will require:

  • A permanent right to work in Australia
  • A current driver’s licence
  • Be able to work in a team environment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite
  • Possess excellent verbal communication skills
  • High proficiency in English, including reading and writing
  • Well-mannered punctual and reliable
  • Excellent phone manner
  • Good communication skills

Ongoing Training will be provided.

  • This is a full-time position of 38 hours per week Monday to Friday, with immediate start.
  • National Training Wage Award + 10% Superannuation.

Planner / Scheduler (Whyalla)

We are currently seeking a Planner/ Scheduler for our Whyalla operations. You will be an integral part of the MAX team and will be responsible for planning and scheduling of cranes, transport and equipment hire in the Whyalla area.

You will be rewarded with a permanent role with competitive remuneration, as well as all the support and training you will need to be successful.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Planning and Scheduling of Crane, Transport, Equipment Hire and People focusing on effective utilisation
  • Job Pack development
  • Scheduling of all staff training
  • Provide customer quotes
  • Attend all client Shutdown and Project planning meetings
  • Weekly and daily reporting to both internal and external customer
  • Be part of the rotating on call roster
  • Effectively liaise and interact with both your internal and external customers and ensure high standards of customer service and interaction and keep them up to date in relation to their requirements

About you:

  • You have experience as a planner/scheduler working in the heavy machine industry.
  • You thrive in a fast pasted environment and you are a resourceful and effective decision maker.
  • You will have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer focuse and a “CAN-DO CAPABILITY” attitude.
  • You will be organised, have an ability to deal with multiple tasks at the same time and have a desire to work within a team to meet timelines and deliver quality work. Most of all you will have a great attitude and want to grow and be rewarded for your hard work.

Workshop Co-ordinator

We are currently seeking a Workshop Co-ordinator to actively lead our group of talented mechanics & technicians. Reporting to the Workshop Manager, this position will be based at our head office in Port Augusta (SA). You will be an integral part of our in-house maintenance team responsible for planning and scheduling of our maintenance requirements & providing support to our workshop staff at all levels.

You will be trade qualified with a background in mechanical and/or electrical diagnosis, repairs and maintenance with experience in scheduling and planning. Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Actively lead our group of talented mechanics & technicians
  • Be able to work within a team and drive quality & performance

WHAT WE AREN’T LOOKING FOR

Superstars or people with all the tickets & expectations, with little or no experience or exposure to general crane hire & serious heavy lift. We would rather train and up-skill good hard working and committed people. So if you are only in our Industry for money and nothing else, save your energy.

E.g. – If you have a CO with RA, have worked briefly on a wind farm project, walked past or sat in the seat of an LG 1750 for 10 minutes and claim to be an experienced operator save yourself the time and don’t apply.

If you have a CN, C6 etc and / or a riggers ticket have worked on a wind farm walked past or sat in the seat of an LG1750, would like to further yourself, be willing to relocate, be up skilled and trained according to your capabilities, be part of a great business with great Values and one day drive or crew on an LG or a pick & carry machine, a 350 tonne crawler or the biggest mobile crane in Australia (our LTM 11200) then by all means contact us.
