Nyrstar Port Pirie Processing & Recovery Facility

The drone image above shows a bird’s eye view of the main construction area from the eastern side of the site. In the foreground, from left to right the new hygiene flue and feed conveyor going into module 82 and also the East/West pipe rack going to the evaporative cooling tower module. In the next three weeks, modules 85 (north) and 86 (south) will be installed, they will add 25 metres and 21 metres respectively to the existing height of the furnace building. They are the final major module lifts for the TSL. MAX used 500t, 180t and 130t cranes.
Adelaide Brighton Cement Fly Ash Silo Lift
/in News /by MAXMax Cranes were engaged to remove 2x hoppers from within the Adelaide Brighton Cement fly ash silo at the Port Augusta Power Station for McMahon Services.
A Liebherr LTM1055-3.2 (55 tonne) was the crane of choice, Max Cranes also supplied intermediate riggers, boilermakers and a fire watcher. The Job was completed on time and within budget.
Nyrstar Coal Grinding Filter Bag House Lift
/in News /by MAXMax Cranes supplied a Liebherr LTM1250-6.1 (250 tonne) to Nyrstar to lift and place the Coal Grinding Filter Baghouse. The 250t was rigged with 35 tonne of counterweight and 46.7 metres of main boom.
The filter bag house weighed 16 tonnes which resulted in a crane utilisation of 65.7%. Max Cranes technical team scoped, CAD drafted lift study’s and supervised the project, delivering a safe and efficient service.
